This course is designed to advance students' English language skills, with a focus on professional and everyday communication. It emphasizes skills such as listening, reading, speaking and writing, particularly in professional settings such as oral presentations, engaging in workplace conversations, and participating in discussions on a variety of current affairs topics. Students will also develop their writing skills, particularly in professional contexts, through tasks like writing essays, emails and covering letter. The course integrates real-world scenarios activities, allowing students to practice clear, fluent, and culturally appropriate communication skills. TOEIC test preparation will be a priority during the semester.
These classes will focus on a variety of activities focused on improving your reading, listening, and speaking abilities, while building professional vocabulary, and strengthening your grammar skills.

Course Content:
1. Grammar:
• Basic grammar revision as needed (e.g., tenses, modals)
2. Language Skills Development:
Speaking:
• Role-playing professional scenarios
• Delivering short presentations (e.g., self-introduction, company, task descriptions)
• Engaging in small talk
Writing:
• Simple business correspondence (e.g., letters and emails)
• Essay
• Covering letter
Listening & Reading:
• Improving comprehension through current news material and Toeic listening exercises

Class will be conducted in person. Class material will be supplemented by resources available on Savoir platform, which includes video and audio resources, along with grammar exercises.
1. Oral Presentation (50%) - 01/10- 03/10
2. Written Test (50%) – Last class (10/10/2024)
• Written exam covering:
Multiple choice questions based on parts 2, 6 and 7 from TOEIC,
Essay/email writing/covering letter (200-250 words depending on the type of exercise)
Vocabulary (fill in the blanks, MCQ....)
